Israel Has No Alternative to Rabin's Realism

Abba Eban, one of Israel's most prominent statesman, was foreign minister of Israel as well as that country's ambassador to the United Nations.

"...great Caesar fell. Then you and I and all of us fell down/And bloody treason triumphed over us!" - Julius Caesar (Shakespeare)

Tel Aviv - The wicked murder of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin revealed the dark side of political extremism. It flourished on the outer margin of our Israeli society, but it has had lethal consequence. Arrogance converged with a distorted version of Jewish history to create a psychosis on the outer fringe of what would otherwise be a model democracy.
