Lest We Forget

Elie Wiesel was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986 for his efforts over the decades to ensure the world remembers the Holocaust, of which he is a survivor. He spoke with NPQ editor Nathan Gardels in September in Prague, where Wiesel and Czech President Vaclav Havel sponsored a forum of 100 artists and intellectuals from around the world to take stock of history's lessons for the next millennium.
